Robert B. Lang - CFA
Mr. Lang is Chairman. His entire business career of more than 56 years has been devoted to the field of asset management. He has managed investment portfolios ranging from $100,000 to more than $55 million including some of the largest pension plans in the country. He has served as a bank vice president in charge of one of the South's largest trust investment departments (American National Bank, Chattanooga, the largest in Tenn. at the time) and as a senior money manager for a large investment counseling firm (Wellington Mgt. Inc.) for ten years. A graduate of Rutgers University, Mr. Lang has earned the Chartered Financial Analyst (C.F.A.), and the Certified Financial Planning (CFP - 1979) designations. Before forming Lang Asset Management, Mr. Lang was co-founder of Farmer & Lang, Inc., an independent asset management firm, where he managed over $300 million.
Julie Lang Kirkpatrick - CFA
Ms. Kirkpatrick is President of the firm. She is responsible for investment decisions, managing client portfolios, equity trading, and client contact. Ms. Kirkpatrick has been with the firm (and its former namesake) for 30 years. Formerly a Vice President of Investments with another asset management firm, Ms. Kirkpatrick also worked for a major brokerage firm and investment consulting company. A native of Atlanta, Ms. Kirkpatrick is a graduate of the University of Georgia with a degree in business Administration and a major in Finance. She has earned the Chartered Financial Analyst (C.F.A.) and Certified Financial Planning (CFP -1993) designations.
